[AT] speaking of clutches

Lew,
I don't know if it is the same as on the M or MT so this may be useless
info. There is an adjustment cam with locknut on the side of the center
frame unit directly below the sediment bowl. Loosen the locknut, then turn
the adjustment cam counter-clockwise to increase pedal free travel. All of
this directly from the service manual, I have never personally adjusted
mine.

Subject: [AT] speaking of clutches

Hey guys

The clutch is slipping real bad on a 420 John Deere I bought recently.
One curiosity before I tear it apart is does it have any place to adjust
the pedal free play? I haven’t found any way to adjust it & the pedal
seems to have very little if any play before it “tops out.”

Thanks!

Lew Best near Waco, TX
