[AJD] Hood Cushions

I am looking in my parts books at the pads that go
between the nose cone,  and grills and main hood. 
Since I have never found one of these intact on a
tractor to date,  I am wondering what people have used
to replace them?   I was thinking of a thick gasket
material?   

Specifically,  the part numbers are B1544R,  and
A2181R.
