UN oring is the same thread as JIC with a o-ring that sits in a seat in a
block, or in some couplers or in the ports of hydraulic cylinders

its common, believe me in hydraulics there is not much that is proprietary
in the hose and fittings department

pipe thread in US is NPT national pipe taper, similar to BSPT british
standard pipe taper, ........only differents is one thread per inch, i tap
the NPT threads to BSPT in my job, cause BSPT is more common here in
NZ.........but ya can just screw em in.........

BSPP is the same thread as BSPT but parrallel and sealing is done by dowty
seal between to flat surfaces

flat face is becoming more common in machinery, CNH use it, most new
industrial like CAT etc use it, as prices go at the moment, the hoses end up
being more expensive, and replace the o-rings each time you disturb them,
they don't need to be re used, cause they leak,

komatsu do have there own style fittings, but hey, i have em in my truck, so
does CAT, i have em too..........

more then one way to skin a cat in hydraulics, don't loose to much sleep
over it, just find a good hydraulic shop, who don't employ idiots
