[Ford-ferguson] Wiring Flash

It's me, the beginner again. Someone had my tractor tuned up as a surprise for me last fall. Immediately after that it wouldn't start.  Now when I pull out the choke, give it a little throttle and push the starter button, I get a huge flash of spark (larger than my hand) that comes out from the starter button when I push it in (on my Ford-Ferguson 9N). The "nice" mechanic also kept my book on 9Ns and says he "can't find it"  now.

What do I need to do to get it fixed? I'm ready to yell at every man except the ones here. :O)
