If you have hot to the points then check the coil secondary system for  
continuity also check the condenser.  A good way to check the system id to  remove 
the cap set the point to open pull the coil wire out of the cap and hold  it 
near a good ground. then with a small screw driver short across the points to  
make then simulate opening and closing. see if you get spark from the coil 
wire.  If yes then replace the rotor and cap. If no replace the coil.
