[Farmall] Converting to 12 v system on Cub

I would like to convert my 1947 Farmall Cub to a 12V system . Is there a 
"preferred" alternator/generator that is 12V and will mount to the bracket 
on the engine block? I really don't want to cut the Hood. Thanks for your
