This is a D-Link router, according to google. I've used some D-Link wired products and had no unusual problems. It's possible that the "extras" will only work with other D-Link branded products with the same set of extras. With other brands, it should work as a G (54Mbps) router.

Hi Len, Earlier I mentioned a third kind of router that I didn't remember
the name of. I just looked it up. To my uninformed eyes it appears to be
just a souped up 802.11 G but it might have some advantages. It's called:
