My top 3 are:

1-	If you don't have it in your head, you have to have it in your feet.

(This one was from my grandmother.)

2-	Another of my grandmother's sayings:  If you've got a big ass,
you've 
got to have big pants.  (Not sure exactly what she 	meant by this one.
I 
think she meant: "if you have big ideas, you'd better have a way to pay for 
them,"  but am open to 	suggestions on this one.)

3-	Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open your
mouth 
and remove all doubt.
