Been hearing that in eastern NC since I was a child Bill or actually
"raining like a cow PXXXXXX on a flat rock".  Maybe your dad took a trip 
down south some time.  LOL

I've not heard that one anyplace but from my dad, although it usually brings
a smile when I use it amongst farmers.

Hi Phil,  That's a good one but I've got to tell you I haven't read ANY of
these old expressions that I haven't heard somewhere before.  LOL.  I think
the regional aspects of American/Candian life have mostly disappeared!
