I do live in a third world country Where it ranges from 110 deg in
summer to 20 in winter, where everyone is just concerned about
getting by. We cannot afford to spend the time and money to do

However, I would like to work in an environment where 90 deg is hot,
and it never gets below 40 in the winter... Utopia is a great place
to visit, but it is probably awfully dull.

Seriously, I have run gearboxes on No. 2 emerald gun grease for many
many years and not damaged the gears or bearings. A lot of the old
LA Case tractors around used that for rear end lube because the
housing bolts had got loose and the gasket pounded out before it was
noticed. They were still pulling fine when they were parked in
favor of airconditioned cabs....

I love a good discussion!!!!!
