Dave, Mike is right, before I owned mine I used a friends cart, I call my 
insru co and gave them the info ie make, mod and ser # and the would cover 
me for x number of days for about $2 a day and emailed me a Cert of Insur. 
I've used it with both Allstate and Westeern/Southern
