Mr. Fry:
I have a couple suggestions in case you haven't tried these:
1.) Have your local JD dealer and have them do a Nationwide dealer search on
the part number. JD dealer internal stock, other than your own dealers
stock, doesn't show up on www.jdparts.deere.com.
2.) Check out Ridenour's. They are very prominent JD L collectors and sell
parts. If they don't have any they may know where to find it or have a cross
reference to it.

Subject: [AJD] Oil seal for JD LA belt pulley
Finally found a belt pulley assembly for my '44 LA. Needs a new outer seal,
JD part no. AL 2124 T. Have plugged this number into the JD parts finder,
but it calls it an invalid no. The old seal is pretty buggered up and I
can't read the markings on it.
Anyone have a replacement part no. or a source for this seal?
Some pictures of our LA's at http://public.fotki.com/bald/john_deere_las/
Thanks, H. Fry
