[AT] Old shop lathe motor-- motor questions for you "experts"

because in those days they would rather be under the rated HP then over  like 
today's motors are rated. I see outboard motors that claim 50 HP and can't  
pull one shier out of the water. My wife's old 50 Hp would pull 4 skiers. The  
same thing on electric motors they are so over rated that I actually got a  
refund on my air compressor.  
 
That old motor of yours would probably do what it would take 10 of the new  
ones to do.
