I'm in the process of putting together the engine on my Cub and need some
advise from those who know. When installing the drive pulley on the
crankshaft it calls for a special tool. I plan to use a 7/16 bolt and
appropriate washers and nut to press the pulley onto the crankshaft. My
question is this: Is there some predefined distance that the special tool
sets the pulley at? Or do I press the pulley onto the crankshaft till it
bottoms out? I realize the drive pulley has to line up with fan pulley and
figure I'll just press the pulley on until the two line up square and
flush. Any comments?
