That's great the owner cards survive especially since they're family! Really neat. I love to 
hear when things like this turn up after an article comes out. Some time ago I wrote about a 
Golden Deere customer card and I received several letters and one fellow still had his!

Too bad about the M but you definitely have to bring the G back. Shouldn't take more than 750 
hours of backbreaking work and $10000!!! No, I think you both can and should do it, even if a 
little bit at a time from ebay

So far as the fuel fitting goes, I don't believe auto stores would have that thread or so I've 
been told many times over the years. JD's too high again on this item it looks like, our brass 
ones are $3.50. I think they used to be about $5 or so from JD not too long ago but I didn't 
note the price. Some parts I have been keeping track of, VERY interesting the ups and, yes, eve 
downs they go through
