powerful degreaser.  It shouldn't have any effect on metals of any kind, and
the glycerine itself is bio-degradable and compostable.  The byproduct of
degreasing your tractor won't be, obviously ;-)

That having been said, I've not had a chance to try it yet.  Have 5 gallons
sitting in my garage waiting, though.
