As a young man working in a little service station, we used to make our own
(jury rigged) safety restraints by taking a logging chain, wrapping it
around (through the center and around the tread) twice and securing it with
a clevis.  Then go 180 degrees around the rim/tire and put another chain on
the same way.  We didn't have any cages/restraints available and this method
saved our hides a couple of times.
