Rev. Dave

If I had that much fun in one day I probably would have had a heart
attack!

Chris: Well stated. I agree. We had a cold snap in Ohio over the
weekend. I had a heavy load of wood on a 22ft trailer, and was pulling
it up through the field with a 47B. Broke through the frozen ground on
top, and sunk in to the drawbar. Got the 530 out to pull it out, and
stuck the 530. Tried to pull the 530 with a 420S, but stuck it also.
It was bitter cold, 10 degrees with a 20MPH wind. The 530 would not
restart, battery about 8 years old, and I always put the charger on it
in the shop, but after sitting in the cold and wind, it wouldn't crank
at all. Bought another battery. Got a 420 crawler with 90 bucket
loader out, and pulled the 420S, then the 530. What a greasy mess under
the top 2 frozen inches. Had to jack up the trailer with a bottle jack
to get the trailer off the drawbar, and a block of wood under the foot
on the trailer tongue jack stand. Then I was able to raise it enough to
allow the 47B to be pulled out with the crawler. Got all the tractors
back in the barn, but the trailer is still sitting in the field.
Probably will be there for a while.

Kreig, and everyone else on the list,

I replied to a message on this list about 2 hours
ago, and it has not come back to me yet. All I know
is that the other list is about a 5 sec delay before
the message posts. It is not that I need to know
things instantly, but when you are waiting for an
answer to a question that is important to you, faster
seems better.

I do not intend to leave this list, nor do I
wish to get into the mechanical workings or politics
of why one is faster and one slower. I am greatful
for the services offered be each list owner at no cost
to me, as well as the information offered be members
of each list.

                    Chris
