I live in yuppie heaven, Larry - the yuppies don't replace the handles; 
they just toss the old pieces out and buy new. That is how I ended up 
with half a dozen shovels - previously I dealt with an old time hardware 
store who stocked every kind of handle for any tool you could imagine. 
But the owner died, and the new store is an Ace that has the nails and 
screws in plastic "bubble pack" at 6 nails for a dollar. Old Mr. Hoxie 
used to be able to reach into a keg of 10d nails and pick a pound right 
on the money the first time. And if you dug deep enough into the bin of 
ax handles, you might find one at the bottom that was priced out at 50 
cents - and that is what he charged for it. :-) You don't find places 
like that around here any more. :-(
