<p>Teerry, I'd be interested in going, but as you say, probably not until after the first of the year.</p><p>In general, serial numbers below 501 for IH tractors usually indicate either a preproduction tractor (serials often start at 101, but there's really no hard fast rule about this) or experimentals (serial prefixes start with either Q or QC, numbers started off with 1 and went up starting about 1919.</p><p /><p>In the case of the experimental Farmall that was just sold, the 293 number was actually a Q-Number, which indicates it was the 293rd test article IH had built since 1919.</p><p /><p>> > > I will stop down to Al's place and take a look, Try and get some photos.
