[AT] Wire size

The chart I found jumped from 5 mm sq. to 8 mm sq.  5mm sq. is AWG 10 and 8 
mm sq. is AWG 8.  Seems awfully heavy for glow plugs.

I am trying to wire up a controller for the glow plugs on a tractor.  The
directions say use a wire 6mm².  What is that in wire gauge?  Thanks.
