One major item to look at before you put on a larger or higher pressure
tire on a vehicle that didn't come with them. Look at the pressure
rating on the rim itself. Many of the aluminum rims are not rated for
air pressures over about 40PSI. Also make VERY sure that if you have a
4X4 you keep all 4 tires the same size. And if you have a newer vehicle
with ABS you may want to look at the sizes that came as options if you
move up in size. That is usually a good idea because larger tires can
cause the ABS light to come on and will cause the speedometer to read
wrong as well. However, if you confine your choice to a factory fitted
larger tire you can take many vehicles to the dealer and have them
reprogram the computer to handle the larger tire.
