[AT] Gone Shopping ?? MAybe OT, maybe not.

      I turned down the 'opportunity' to go out shopping with my Son last 
night 
 and tonight.....these 79 yr old bones just can't take these temp as they used
 to.   These 'kids' just don't understand that !!!    Ha !

      Tomorrow I want to go up to my farm and drain the old anti-freeze and 
put
 new in my  IH-140.....it's only good for plus 20 degrees and I surely don't 
want 
 it to crack the block.  Wind chill got down to ZERO last night......thank 
heaven
 that wasn't the temperature itself !!   Noticed the Scioto River was frozen 
over 
 today.

      Back a few years ago, during my flying days,  I'd have to stay out at 
the airport, waiting for my passengers to show up.....there's nothing any colder
or more miserable than an airport at night in the middle of winter.  Back then
turbine engines hadn't made it into the civilian market.   We had to go out,
start the engines ever so often so they wouldn't get too cold and then not 
start when the passengers showed up.   Most of the places didn't have 
facilities to preheat engines and more than likely they had gone home hours
before.  IT WAS LONELY !!   Ha !
