Or the plugs fouling form oil?  A wet deposit on it.  Or form fuel, 
which would be a black sooty deposit.  If fuel, try hotter plugs or 
resetting the float level, both of which have already been mentioned.  
If an oily deposit you may have worn valve seals or valve guides.
