Gus take a Plug out and check to see if you get resitance between the two 
circuits.
Then check to see if you get resistance between the circuit and the plug 
threaded part.
I would pretty much assume that I'm right and the two circuits are the same 
the hot wire to all plugs and they are grounded though the plugs to the 
engine.  It just doesn't make sence that they would be in series as you say 
because you won't get enough voltage to heat the glow plugs.

The last plug should only have one wire going to it. don't ground it out or 
they won't work.
