Kevin: I'd be also concerned about the whole assembly being balanced properly. I would suggest that he would make another from scratch; even then, without dynamic (spin) balancing, you could have some vibration problems. There are balancing sites available that would do this for you. Just my $0.02! Joe Hardisky Ryman Farm Dallas,PA

The flywheel weighs 131# and I have seen this work before without balancing or vibration. A freind of mine has just repowered his 460U with a 450c Red Diamond 1959 truck motor. Pulling tractor. 454 chevy pistons, Perkins rods and crankshaft out of ? Had to notch the block to get it to turn without rod bolts hitting. His was just the opposite of what im trying to do. The neck had to be cut completley off his flywheel, and drilled to bolt to engine crank. That was not balanced at all. I dont know how it run yet, but they took it and their H to Tunica, Mississippi the past weekend and pulled it. And that engine will be turning 4000rpm. I should have used their machine shop, it couldnt have cost any more to do it right the first time.
Is only 40 miles to the shop I been using, 40 X 10 trips I dont know.
Will keep ya updated as to how the next neck they make works out.
Thank yall
