[Farmall] M manifold

Thanks for all the suggestions. It is encouraging to hear nobody has had any
bad luck on these.

Decided to go ahead and order from Steiner, have had good luck with their
stuff in the past. I was quite surprised to see the number of places that
carried manifolds.

The one we are replacing had burnt out on the intake. I could have built it
up with nickel rod but the exhaust portion of the manifold is covered in
craters---looks like its trying to burn through from the outside in. We
decided the old manifold was going to look like swiss cheese soon so we
opted to just replace than repair. The M doesn't see much use anymore,
topdressing 25 acres of grain is about all it does now. Semi-retirement
seems to fit it nicely. Going to rebuild the carb while we are at it. I
swear the dirt was over 1/4" thick in places. Also need to stick in a set of
points and put a seal in the hydraulic pump. May even send the starter to be
rebuilt. This tractor still has its original starter and generator, although
I am sure both have been rebuilt before.
