I don't consider those wood platforms a waste of lumber at all. I was just
wondering how many board feet went into them across the country over all
these years. I had intended to discuss in that message about how many were
actually built really nicely and varnished. Of course I forgot that right along with
about everything else I try to remember. Dang I miss having a memory... The
guy I wrote about did some custom combine work for us about 1951 using that
F-30 and a fairly new John Deere 12-A combine. My father had sold his Allis
60 and had not gotten a new combine yet. We ended up with a new Deere
12-A but with the #$%& LUC power unit instead of the PTO drive. That LUC
was just too small. Also if you killed it hot you might as well take a two hour break.
Yeah Andy... I show that F-30 of mine to people all of the time. It doesn't run
yet and has no wheels on the back, but it is "ready to show". <(^¿^)> <(^¿^)>
They just have to come to it... <(^¿^)>
