I guess I should have said originally they are
going on a Hart Parr 18-27. So its a good bit of
weight on the wheels.
Also I've done the 9.5-40 thing as well and
this is why I'm where I am now....I think??? One of
the tubes split at the seem. Just to much space to
fill, got thin walled for the weight of the tractor.
I believe 9.5's would work okay in 11-40 tires.
Andy, just to make you jealous I have a brand
new set of 11-40 tires. They will be going on a 70
when its turn comes up to go in the shop.
If you go with the 9.5-40 for your 70 make sure
you have a narrow enough rim for them. Most 70's did
have 11's on 'em but some came out with narrower tires
for cultivating.
