Shooting up in the air is more risk that I am willing to take. I would
hate to injure someone or destroy someone's property.
I have shot coons in a tree with a rifle. Only when I could use the
trunk of the tree as a backstop. Shooting a high power rifle without
knowing your backstop is a recipe for disaster.
Evey if you are in the boonies there are cattle etc to worry about.
