Thats what I love about this list, the vast amount of knowledge, even 
though different from mine. When I posed the question about plowing snow 
with steel, all I thought about was how great the traction. I never gave a 
thought to the sideways angle, although I can now see where it would be 
like iceskates. However, in my defense, different strokes for different 
folks. Where I grew up and also where I now live, the ground is relatively 
flat; in fact when I went to tile the one 40 acre field, the tiler surveyed 
it and said there was less than 6 inches difference in elevation in any 
part of the field. As you can see, I have had no experence plowing snow on 
a slope, although I have moved a lot of snow in my lifetime. Because our 
area gets a lot of wind with the snow and we get 4 or 5 foot deep drifts, 
95% of people in our area clean their driveways with tractors and loaders. 
The blades are used more for parking lots and roads where they clean almost 
around the clock. I know the person whose family cleans the local Wal-Mart. 
He said he got curious and measured it; it totaled 14 acres. Again, I thank 
the vast knowledge of this list.
