The John Deere AWH, BWH, ANH, and BNH series of
tractors also used 40" tires. Back in the late 80's
and early 90's, many savvy JD collectors that I know
bought up Olivers and Farmalls with good 40" tires for
a few hundred dollars or sometimes even cheaper
because they realized how hard these tires are to
find. Those tires found their way onto the Deeres.
Maybe that's why a lot of the other brands are now
"tireless".
