[Farmall] Some ads from the 8/19 Lancaster Farming

Hmmm....
 Mike and I have swapped thoughts on this "variety" of  machine.  For example, there is a 185 offered locally with a load  of accessories.  The asking price is $3100 (which, of course,  means less especially as time goes by).  I talked to the owner who  admits that the outboard clutch had to be recently changed (supporting  Mike's comment).
  I don't "need" such a thing (got plenty of machinery, thank you) but, even so, might pop for it at a price.
  As Mike knows from our correspondence, I presently gravitate to diesel  stuff.  Still....kind of a neat machine which I would not mind  adding to the fleet.
 BTW (Mike)...what was the model number of that  "last" unit that Cub offered before "selling out"?  Was it 985 or  some such...cannot recall.

True, IH dropped the ball on the earlier 154 and 185, with the belt 
driven starter/generator and outboard clutch, but they went back to an 
automotive clutch plus regular ring gear starter and 12 volt alternator 
on the 184. As a landscaping tractor, it is everything that the Farmall 
Cub Lo-Boy should have been.
