Taking those "skirts" off isn't all that big a deal, if the screws
haven't all rusted. I removed all of what was left of mine, cleaning out
the threads with a tap and replaced all the screws with new ones that I
got from MSC <www.mscdirect.com> - they were close to original but not
exact. I had to locate replacement skirts to fill the gaps. I also put
Nev-R-Seize on all the threads, so when I have to take it apart again,
it will be a lot easier. <http://public.fotki.com/mikesloane/farmall_340/>
