I had the same thing happen to me on my 1917. As I recall, there is a relay
or fuse behind the dash that had to be replaced/reset.

Hi fellas,
I was cutting grass on an older Allis 917 garden tractor when it threw
the drive belt. I shut it down, put the belt back on & went to start it &
got no juice. Didn't even turn over. I got another battery & same thing. Is
there a relay or circuit breaker somewhere on it that I'm missing? It's in
neutral with the PTO off, so those aren't the problem.
Thanks,
John
