Subject: Re: [AT] Plow scouring
I had never painted a plow until last year. I always just fought it for the
first few passes until it scoured, but the first job always seemed to be a
garden, which isn't a good place to have a rusty plow.
I got a can of "plow coat" which is a flat black paint specifically for
coating dirt tools. It covered 2 of the 3 bottoms, I found a can of cold
galvanize for the other. This spring, the 2 bottoms with plow coat scoured
immediately, the one with the other paint was a pain, almost as bad as
before. I think I'll buy 2 cans of plow coat next time!
