Ray-
Yes, I have replaced clutch plates on both of my D-14s. Tricky part for me
was making sure I got the lever arm that carries the throwout bearing
oriented correctly. You might wonder how I might know this, but it is
impossible to set the 1/4" clearance between the throwout bearings and the
fingers you are asking about if that assembly is replaced the wrong way.
Don't be like me and breakdown your stands until you have verified you can
obtain the 1/4" clearance between the bearing and the fingers. This is set
by the threads in the clutch rod and easily measured with a piece of 1/4"
key stock. Now that I think about it, the throwout bearing is very firmly
in contact with the fingers when oriented wrong, but if you don't do it all
the time it is easy to not see - at least that is my excuse!
The pressure plate's finger adjustment info is currently in the barn and I
am in the house and will not look till tomorrow morn. Probably the most
important thing is to get the finger's heights even, but I will shoot the
measurement out to you tomorrow. I don't think I had to move the
adjustments on either tractor I did.

I did a clutch without an alignment tool is a blissful state of ignorance
when I was about 17 on a 53 Ford sedan. It was never right and you can get
a rather cheap tool at NAPA if you don't have one. You can borrow mine if
you want to make the drive, but with gas at $3+; you can't begin to get here
for the price of a cheap tool. But company is always welcome.
