This is a change. Now an accountant who can properly "cook" the books and
generate fake profits for corporation can make millions. An average
accountant for a big corporation makes 6 figures (about 5 times the average
worker income, just like 100 years ago) The mechanical engineer is treated
like dirt and makes about the same money as the worker on the assembly line.

Can you tell what I do for a living?

   The average
>U.S. worker made between $200 and $400 per year. A competent accountant
>could expect to earn $2,000 per year, a dentist $2,500 per year, a
>veterinarian between $1,500 and $4,000 per year, and a mechanical engineer
>about $5,000 per year.
