Mama Bear says that my obit will read "funeral will immediately follow the auction."

A while back, she was riding one of her many hay burners over at the little place on the highway--It is mostly covered with second growth timber. She asked me if I was trying to hide tractors from her as there were tractors scattered here and there in the trees and brush. I quickly informed her that no, I was not hiding tractors--this is just how you unload a dead project. Back up to a tree, tie a chain on tractor and drag it off of the trailer. When I mention tractors, I don't count those in line for the shop, only the runners (good runners?). I don't usually count her horses, except I do have to do the normal doctoring and scutt work like floating teeth. Arn't you glad that Allis tractors don't have teeth.

It is a matter of absolute policy never even to SAY a number yet put it in
print. I usually mumble something about how it's hard to say because so
many are only parts...does a WD with no wheels or front spindle count as "A
Tractor?" I wouldn't think so. Right now I'm running about .55 tractors
per acre, well within the Distaff Tolerance Margin. And Lovely Linda is
still buying the line about them being a "great investment." On the other
hand, she has been asking around about the protocol of publishing the
auction sale bill alongside the obituary when my time comes. I've always
known that at the estate sale, her new boyfriend is going to put an arm over
her shoulder and say, "That Rog...he must have been quite a guy."
