[AT] OT vehicle question?

I had an Olds Silhouette (same as a Lumina) van for a while.  I liked the
ride and the fuel economy.  It developed a transmission problem after I sold
it, but from what I understand this was not all that common.  If you are in
an area that gets snow you will greatly prefer the front wheel drive Lumina
over the rear wheel drive Astro.  I also liked the fact that the older units
were made with plastic/composite body panels - a real plus to us guys in the
salt/rust belt (Minnesota)

Farmer,  I'd go with the Astro van if I could find one.  I'm not sure the 
Lumina vans have that much weight carrying capacity.  If you want to work on

the Lumina drive train you unbolt the ENTIRE drive train, motor, transaxle, 
steering gear, tires, wheels everything in one assembly and lift the rest of

the van off of it.  I guess that could be good or bad depending on how you 
look at it.  I never had a Lumina van but a friend of mine did.  I'm just 
not that impressed with them.  I could be wrong.
