[AJD] front wheels

Mitch,
With Roll-a-Matic you would want the JD1274R reversible wheels.

Duane,

Thanks for the reply. I'm looking at the G parts book, PC369, that is
included on the CD. I also have hard copy of it. I'm getting the numbers
from page 102, item 6. The 1275R is listed up to serial# G20277 and the
1290R shows being used after #G20278. My concern is the proper front rim
considering the Roll-A-Matic front end.

  Mitch,
Might you mean JD1274R rims and not JD1275R? The JD1274R are a heavy duty
version of the JD1268R used on the A, and both the 74 and 68 are
reversible.
G/GM from (5-12)/41 thru 20277 used the JD1261R non reversible wheels, and
these were followed by the reversible JD1272R wheels/hubs for a short time
before 1948 - GM20582 has these rims. They were replaced by the JD1274R
reversible wheels, used from about 20278 to end of G production. I guess
the JD1275R would be a heavy duty version of the JD1261R wheels. Out of
curiosity, which parts book lists the JD1275R wheel for the G?

JD1290R wheels didn't come into use until the late '50's - on the 20
series
as I recall, and never came on a G.

  Regards,
  Duane

  Duane,
In reading your post to Tommy Wilson about the proper rims he needs, I
started to think about the front rims for my GM. Now this GM is a little
strange in that it is a 1946 and has been equipped with a lot of the later
G
parts such as a water pump and Roll-A-Matic front end. The rims that came
on it are definitely dished the wrong way and a side comment by a
knowledgeable friend said that they are A rims. The parts book calls for
the JD1275R rims by the serial number, but with the Roll-A-Matic, should I
be going after the JD1290R rims? Surprisingly, I have found a set of the
  JD1275R rims.
