Since most metal tanks are cylindrical in shape it seems he gave us the size
as 5ft 6in (diameter) and 25 ft (length). If this is so, then from the
7.5lb/sq.ft figure you gave the tank should weigh as follows:
ends - 3.14159x2.75x2.75x7.5=178.187lbs each
tubular side wall - 3.14159x5.5x25x7.5=3239.765
so the total is approximately 180+180+3240=3600lbs
Anyone care to check my math and verify?
