This all goes fine until the tractor and trailer come off and kill
someone or an entire family. People like this don't belong on the road.
A friend of mine hauls his Dad's John-Deere GP and his Allis-Chalmers C
on a really nice trailer that he has put indoor outdoor grass on it. One
day while backing the JD on the trailer after a show the board he was
using to support the front end broke in half causing the front end to
drop to the ground. He just about lost it and then trying to back up to
keep it from rolling forward the fake grass wouldn't hold traction and
it was all he could do to keep it from falling off. A few guys got to
him and help him get the front end back on a ramp and got it up on the
trailer.

A fellow I know was in the pecan harvesting business and used several
trailers to haul tractors and just drove them on left them in gear
killed the engine, set the brakes and took of down the highway
even on the Interstate system. One was a really large Belarus with the
shaker attached.
After mentioning to him how unsafe it was to haul unsecured loads he
told me that he would never get anyything done if he tied all the
tractors to the trailers.
So far he has never lost a load.
