Thanks Mike

Going back to look at it today & figure out the "plan of attack."

I am not familiar with the 530, but if it is anything like the similar
Ford, JD, Cat, etc. of the era, you can figure about 6000 for the bare
tractor, 2000 for the loader, and at 3000 for the hoe. (very rough
guesses) So I think your plan of splitting the machine in three is the
only way your trailer can handle the load. With that kind of weight in
mind, the hardest thing is going to be getting the backhoe and loader
pieces on and off your trailer and positioned for good weight
distribution. At both ends of the haul, you are going to need some
equipment than can, at a minimum, lift the pieces high enough to back
the trailer under them. The tractor, of course, can just be winched on
and rolled off.

If the backhoe mounting on the 530 is anything like my 430CK, dropping
the hoe is relatively uncomplicated - 4 pins and two hoses. But the
loader may be a whole lot more work to deal with - it wasn't designed to

be popped on and off quickly. At the least, I think you should plan on
removing the bucket first. You might want to leave the loader attached,
without the bucket - the tractor and loader, minus the engine, might be
an OK load for your trailer. I would check with a Case IH construction
dealer on the weights - they have them somewhere. I brought my 430CK (no

backhoe) home on my 7000lb rated trailer. See:
