Dean,
Here are the prices from a 2/26/40 Wholesale price list from JD Plow Co. St.
Louis:
No. 133 (4 speed) equipped with 5:00-15 4 ply fronts and pressed steel rears
with 8x38 4 ply rears - retail $802, Dealer $641
Same tractor with 8x38 cast rear wheels $812/$649.
Starting and lighting equipment factory installed $69/$55.20, and
field-installed $75/$60, and both systems were priced without a battery
which was to be obtained locally.
The 1939 (11/1/38) price list does not provide prices for starting and
lighting.
The 1941 (9/17/40) price list for the increased horsepower, 6 speed B with
the same pressed steel equipment is $828.50/$662.50 and for cast wheels
$843.50/674.50. Apparently there was no price change for electric
starting/lighting.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Duane Larson
