Yup, it was a pretty exciting and rewarding day for us. I installed the
main packing in the piston rod gland..oiled everything up for a short run as
we're missing some OEM greasers and oilers, hooked up the air line and
Viola.."Two Happy Campers"
In the pix's below,,,is the story....I'll say this great run is due to the
fact that my machinist bud, Corky Harris, the "Quality Control" man has
treated this old iron like it was something airworthy..to and include a
couple days of lapping in the "D" Valve and lots of fabrication expertise
and..yes, he uses plastiguage.

For those who are not familiar, this is the before pix..used in the
"Bitteroot" area of Montana, sawmill, possibly drove a blade sharpener or
green chain??

hooked up the second hose and "Look out Momma" <vbg>

Any faster than that..it's time to anchor her down.

Well gang, hope you have enjoyed. MANY THANKS TO YOU THAT HAVE HELPED THESE
TWO NEWBEE'S.!!! We'll be in the education mode on the boiler soon.

Respectfully
Rick and Cork in "The Big Sky"
