Robert,
Things change. Enjoy them while they last. This used to be the place
for steam information and it may be once again. Many things work in cycles.
My boiler is coming along well. I placed a purchase order for the
rivets last week (515 in all from Champion Rivet in Cleveland). All of the
1/2" and 3/8" steel has been cut and I am about 80% done with drilling the
holes for the stay-bolts and the rivets. I plan to bevel the edges (for
caulking) of the outside wrapper this week and then I will be able to roll
it. As soon as the shop has time they are going to cut the forming blocks
for the backhead and the throat sheet out of 2 3/4" plate. I've been taking
lots of pictures so I my post some of them soon.
