Go to http://www.autozone.com/home.htm  and follow the directions.  Should
be able to pull up a wiring diagram.

I don't just what wires have been ripped out, but if it is just ignition,
like Walt said" firing order is on intake".

He should be able to find a good used HEI Distributor around somewhere.  All
he will need then is a good wire that is hot when switch is on and in run.
That is far better than points anyway.

A friend of mine is working on an 82 model full size Chevrolet Van with a
350 engine.

It came to him to install a rebuilt engine.  Someone had ripped all the
distributor wiring off and he needs a wiring schematic/ diagram.

I did a Google on this but had no luck.

Any help would be appreciated. If you have wiring information that could be
sent to my email address I will ask a pretty girl to hug your neck. It may
not happen but I guarantee to ask.
