You know back when I was a kid auto companies usually only part of the car  
the electrical parts were made by one company and  brakes by another. then  
these companies were bought up my the big three now it seems that they are going  
back to old way. 
I used to buy olds parts to fit my Packard distributor. They didn't makes  
parts for the Packard.
