[AT] Ford Select O Speed question

My neighbor has a '60's model Ford tractor with a Select O Speed 
transmission. He is having trouble with it and needs to do some work on 
it. He has a really good manual and has talked to people who have worked 
on them. The problem he is having at this point is he has not yet found a 
source for parts. Ford no longer services parts for them. He doesn't want 
to tear it apart until he knows he can get parts. Can anyone help put him 
on the trail?
